The Money Mindset cards consist of questions that explore how childhood trauma, memories, and beliefs formed in your early years influence you and shape how you see yourself and your money.
The questions help you see how your past is influencing your present and, therefore, allow you to release the grip your childhood and life experiences have on your life and money mindset.
Example of questions:
Question 1
Have you ever been told, "No, you can't have that... we have no money"? Or "Money doesn't grow on trees"? Or "Do you think we're made of money"? The words you hear about money can lead you to believe that money, wealth, and abundance are not for you. Because of the times you were let down or disappointed around money, maybe you have decided it's too painful. What did you hear as a child?
Question 2
Does it seem you can never hang on to money? It flows from you of its own accord. When you think of money, savings, and wealth, where in your body is there a sensation of something? Our bodies are great at letting us know when we feel uncomfortable about aspects of life. With that awareness, we can investigate further. What questions would you ask to unearth your beliefs around money
Question 3
How do you usually feel after making a big purchase—empowered, anxious, guilty, or neutral? Whether it’s a car, holiday, course, or new furniture, your emotional response can reveal deeper money patterns. Sometimes we delay spending due to discomfort or fear. Everyone experiences this differently. But what about smaller, everyday spending—how do those choices make you feel? What story is your spending telling?
Question 4
Are you honest about your financial situation with yourself or others? Many avoid admitting they're struggling financially, even to themselves. But awareness is the first step to change. If you're not where you want to be, ask yourself why. What beliefs about money, success, or self-worth might be keeping you stuck in your current situation? And what truths are you ready to face to create financial freedom?
